This is the week of great transition. We are considering a very important subject. We will be looking at what God has promised us in His word. The mighty one will do great things in your life. Someone says, “ When we work, we get what we can do; when we pray, we get what God can do.” This is the truth. Prayer places a person in the place of God’s power and might. God is mighty. He does great and mighty things. Mary affirms this in Luke 1:49 AMPC
” For He Who is almighty has done great things for me–and holy is His name [to be venerated in His purity, majesty and glory]!”
The great thing that has never happened in her lineage, started with her. Mary set herself apart to be the earthly mother of the Saviour of the world as prophesied in Isaiah 7:14 (NIV): “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”She is still be celebrated today. Moses is another example of the individual that experienced the great and mighty things of God. He ran from Pharaoh and went on exile. From childhood, God must have been seeing a great deliverer in Moses.
God specializes in showing us the great and mighty things that He wants to make out of our lives if we are ready to seek His face. Turning away from every form of evil and wickedness is very essential in walking with God. He will miraculously grant all our heart desires. Are you believing God for a husband or wife? Are you believing Him for a new high paying job? Are you believing God for that great contract? Are you believing Him for academic success? God will do much more in your life today.
