At this crucial time, you must be ready to walk with God. It is your primary responsibility as a father, to teach and train your children on how to walk with God. It is your primary responsibility as a mother to teach and train your children on how to walk with God. If you do not do this, the children will go against the commandments of God and they will break the covenant relationship that you have with God. Our heavenly Father wants His children to walk with Him.
One of my favorite Psalm has something great in it. Psalm 1:3 states, ” And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]” AMPC. When you relate with God, in your daily walk with Him, you will start making it in life. On the other hand, those that do not have a covenant relationship with God will perish.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO WALK WITH GOD?. It means that the individual is living a godly and a holy lifestyle. It means that the person is always following God. He makes God His friend. The individual focuses on God always. He follows His leading. He is faithful to obeying all God’s commandments. Enoch walks with God. Noah walks with God. Abraham walks with God. Our fathers of faith in our present age are living testimony to the fact that we can walk with the covenant keeping God.
