To hyperbolize is to add to the interest of, by including made up details. It also means to embellish, to exaggerate and to magnify. The men that were instructed to spy on the land of Canaan were guilty because they hyperbolized falsehood. As a result, they succeeded in planting the seed of fear in the heart of the congregation. This is the scheme of satan. We can give the meaning of fear in this perspective as : Frequent. Exaggeration. Altering. Reality.
Thank God for the faith of Joshua and Caleb. They voiced out the truth that our God is more than able to make them to defeat the giants of the land. They were in the minority. But God valued them. God appreciated them. How does this apply to us? As a student, that subject or course may have proved difficult for some of your classmates or course mates. You have the Spirit of God. You have a different Spirit to excel in it. Fear not, because you are more than able to achieve great success.
In that profession, others may have failed to achieve the expected goal. You may have found yourself in the same field. And these ones that have failed to achieve may be using their words to pull down your faith. Fear not, God is more than able to make you a greater success. Stop seeing the giant of impossibility, start magnifying the awesome power of the God of all possibilities. He is able and He will. Fear Not!
