Spirit Meal : Psalm 47:1-4
We are looking at a very important subject matter. We want to focus on the Kingdom of God. This is the realm where God reigns supreme. It has to do with the command, the control and the power that He has over the universe. Revelation 19:6 is factual about this, ” And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth “
The Kingdom of God is described in the Bible, in the following ways: it is described as the kingdom of David. It is described as the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 3:2). We must also understand that the Kingdom of God is described as the rule and reign of our Lord Jesus Christ who lives forever. The kingdom of the most High God will be established on earth with Jesus’ reigning as our King eternally. (Rev. 11:15). Let’s look at the three components of the Kingdom of God. They are: The King (Jesus), The Territory and The Citizens.
We will examine the King and as you know, there is no kingdom without a King, vice versa. A king is a ruler, a commander and a controller of a territory of his people. Jesus is the King of kings. (Psalm 47:2, Luke 1:33). Why is He the King of kings? Jesus is above all the kings by decree and at the command of the most High God. Jesus became victorious on the cross (Philippians 2:9-11). Jesus overthrew the powers of hell, death and Satan by His victory on the cross of calvary.
