Spirit Meal : Matthew 25:1-5
We place maximum premium on being born again. We go extra mile to ensuring that the individual grows in grace day by day. You can loose your salvation if you are careless, complacent and foolish. We have a lot of cold Christians that don’t want to grow up in faith. Jesus – the Chief Shepherd, is using this medium to call back the nonchalant Christians. He gives this story of the wise and foolish virgins to make us understand the race to entering the Kingdom of God. A Man, a woman, a boy and a girl will all learn from it. We will gain wisdom in Jesus’name Amen.
Please understand that, the ten young women were virgins. They were all born again. They were pure and spotless. We can say that they have the anointing. This is because they all have lamps. They know from their Bible that the bridegroom is coming. They were aware of His second coming. They learnt all these in Sunday School class. But look at their present situational judgement of the Lord in verse two of our chapter, Five of them were foolish [thoughtless, silly, and careless], and five were wise [far-sighted, practical, and sensible]. Matthew 25:2 AMP
How does this parable applies to us today? If the Spirit of God does not dwell within you then you do not belong to God. The good news is that when God saved you, the Holy Spirit came to take up residence in your heart. This is the defining marker of a believer. Without the Holy Spirit or the oil as mentioned in this parable of the ten virgins, you are just an empty lamp. It does not matter how good the lamp looks on the outside. Let’s check up on ourselves. Do you have the Spirit of God taking full residence or are you still fleshly?

1. Father, give me oil in my lamp, keep me burning till the bridegroom comes.
2. Father, help me not to loose my salvation.
