To Walk in the light means we are living a life of righteousness and holiness. This is the fact.
What does a life of righteousness and holiness involves? *Living a life of righteousness and holiness involves aligning one’s thoughts, words, and actions with God’s standards of purity and moral excellence. It requires a continual process of transformation and renewal, as believers seek to reflect the character of God in their daily lives*. Despite the gross darkness that pervades the land, the child of God will never give in to godless living.
Let us think about this verse, 1 Thessalonians 4:7 AMP, ” *For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness [to be dedicated, and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private]*” . This verse underscores the contrast between living a life of impurity and living a life of holiness, emphasizing the divine calling to pursue holiness. The word “impure” in Greek is “ἀκαθαρσία (akatharsia)”, which refers to moral uncleanness or impurity. Such a life is in darkness.
This is the path to follow always. Strive to lead a life untainted by impurity, where every action, thought, and intention is a testament to the purity of your character. *Let your words be spoken with honesty, your deeds be done with kindness, and your heart be filled with compassion. In the pursuit of purity, find the beauty in simplicity, the strength in integrity, and the peace in knowing that you walk the path of righteousness to please the most High God. For it is in living a life of purity that you discover the true essence of your being and find harmony with the universe*.
