*Let your actions speak the gospel, celebrating the Christian lifestyle with every step, and proclaiming it through the love you show to others*. This is the best lifestyle on earth. It has eternal value and significance. Barnabas is a good example of a person that lived the best lifestyle. He also proclaimed it. He sought for Saul. The Believer must seek for souls. Our focus verse is Acts 11:26
This verse describes the early followers of Jesus being called “Christians” for the first time in Antioch. The term “Christian” comes from the Greek word “*Christianos*,” which means “*follower of Christ*.” This name was given to the disciples as a way to identify them as followers of Jesus Christ. Antioch was a diverse and cosmopolitan city in the ancient world, with a mix of cultures and religions. *The fact that the disciples were called Christians in Antioch is significant because it shows that their faith in Jesus was distinct enough to be recognized and labeled by others*.
The term “Christian” not only identified the followers of Jesus as believers in Him, but also set them apart from other religious groups in Antioch. *It signified a commitment to following the teachings of Jesus and living according to His example*. We can say that *the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch because of their devotion to Jesus Christ and their distinct identity as His followers in a diverse and multicultural city*. This name continues to be used today to identify those who profess faith in Jesus as their Lord and SAVIOUR. A Christian is not just a Bible carrier or a church goer, he or she is a Follower of Christ. The individual obeys the call to carry out the great commission without excuse. Live the Christian lifestyle boldly on earth, and let your life be a proclamation of faith for all to see.

*Sing Hymn 100*
_________________
1. King of glory, King of peace,
I will love thee;
And, that love may never cease,
I will move thee,
Thou hast granted my request
Thou hast heard me;
Thou didst note my working breast,
Thou hast spared me.
2. Wherefore with my utmost art i will sing thee,
And the cream of all my heart i will bring thee,
Though my sins against me cried,
Thou didst clear me,
And alone, when they replied,
Thou didst hear me
3. Seven whole days, not one in seven,
I will praise thee;
In my heart, though not in heav’n,
I can raise thee.
Small it is, in this poor sort
To enrol thee;
E’en eternity’s too short
To extol thee.
Amen.
